The Veerabhadra Temple is a major example of Vijayanagara-style architecture and is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra, a fierce form associated with Lord Shiva. The complex contains elaborate stone carvings, murals and frescoes, multiple shrines, the famous Nagalinga and its unusual hanging pillar.
